Surrogacy has finally been deemed legally unlawful, which also includs altrustic surrogacy. I don’t question wiether or not a certain person would become a suiyable and capable parent. Not this time anyway.
Instead, the issue here is that a woman is required to use her own body to carry someone else’s child. Some people believes this is equal to international adoption, which it can be in a way. Prospective people and hopeful couples that were hoping to one day be able to become a parent to their biological child through surrogacy will probably not change their plans. If it’s not allowed in Sweden then I think think probably will try Denmark and the USA instead.
