Yesterday was big for not only Måns but for Sweden as well as Måns victory meant that Sweden has won Eurovision six times so far. Only Ireland has one victory over Sweden. It was said very early into the competion that Sweden was one of the favorites and everyone supposedly believed Sweden would won. Experts and betting sites are usually never right in their predictions this time they were though.
A majority of all the songs were beautiful ballads as you all may or may not remember Conchita Wurst gained fame and victory with her powerballad Rise Like A Phoenix in the Netherlands.
Interestingly and worth to mention is that both Loreen and Måns success stories begun in Idol.
For some time it seemed as if Russia would win Eurovision, and there were only three contenders for the victory. Italy’s Grande Amore, Russia’s A Million Voices and Sweden’s Heroes.
Sweden was proclaimed a victor and got a total 365 points in comparision to Loreen who achived 372 points yet the victor that recieved the most points was Alexander Rybak back in 2009 who was given 387 points.
