Korea currently has 10 basketball teams all part of the KBL,

  • Anyang KB
  • Seoul SK Nights
  • Changwon LG Sakers
  • Goyang Orions
  • Incheon ET Land Elephants
  • Jeonju KCC Egis
  • Busan KT Sonicboom
  • Wonju Donbu Promy

Imagine the feeling if Samsung Wonders were up against LG Sakers… The previos basketball season was won by Anyang KB with Wonju Donbu Promy as runnerup.

Korean Super Leauge is the Korean national klub for football when it was establied in 1983 it had 5 member clubs. Those were Hallelulja FC, Yukong Kikkiri, POSCO Dolphins, Daewoo Royals, Kookmin Bank FC. Kookmin Bank FC and Halleluja FC choose to withdraw in 1984 and 1985 leaving Yukong Kikkiri, POSCO Dolphins and Daewoo Royals. It dropped the Super in its name using only K Leauge after 1988 and since the creation it is now home to 16 clubs.

Korean Professional Baseball used to be name of the Korean Baseball League it has since been renamed Korean Baseball Championship and it was founded in 1982 with 6 member clubs. These days the Leauge includes 8 clubs;

  • Haitai Tigers
  • Lotte Giants
  • MBC Blue Dragonn
  • OB Bears
  • Sammi Superstars
  • Samsung Lions

you may have noticed how all those 8 clubs all have Korean company names.
